County Estates was formed to embrace the existing property experience of the Carruthers family, which extends to 40 years in the market place. The directors and shareholders are also the founders of ICP Commercial Ltd, which operated in the West End of London for many years and migrated in the early ‘90s to Swindon.

County Estates will continue to be a family run company and will maintain its area of search and activities predominantly in the Cotswolds as the Carruthers family home is in the heart of the local area. A steady growth pattern has been maintained to date.

It is not our intention to seek period properties, but to acquire houses on established estates that were built some 10 to 12 years ago, predominantly by national house builders. As you will understand and appreciate, the original developers will often concentrate on a specific house type without variation.

Ten years on, the accommodation does not reflect a potential purchasers’ aspirations. To remedy this, County Estates will remodel the internal arrangements to make far better use of floor space. This is well depicted around the website.
